1. About the raffle
1.1 The Rotary Seasons of Giving Calendar Raffle 2026 is run by the Rotary Club of Westshore (Victoria), PO Box 28016 RPO Westshore, 2945 Jacklin Road, Langford BC V9B 5E3 ("the Club").
1.2 BC Gaming Event Licence #177611 (Class A Raffle – Calendar), issued by the BC Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO).
1.3 Proceeds will be donated to Thrive Social Services Society (Charity Registration 810569277RR0001), in support of their project: West Shore Foundry.
1.4 Questions: calendar@rotarywestshore.com or Joey Vaesen, Event Contact, 250-510-9506.
1.5 These rules are posted wherever tickets are sold, on rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca, and are available on request with the licence at the draw.
2. Who can play
2.1 All participants must be 19 years or older to participate.
2.2 Buyers must be physically located in British Columbia at the time of purchase.
2.3 Members of the Club's board of directors and the officers named on the licence application may not buy tickets or win prizes.
2.4 No one may buy a ticket while they are selling tickets or helping to run the raffle. Volunteer sellers may buy tickets when they are not on shift.
2.5 Tickets may be given as gifts. If a winner is under 19, the prize will be delivered to their parent, guardian or trustee.
3. Tickets
3.1 Price: 1 ticket for $20, or 3 tickets for $50. No other prices or discounts.
3.2 Quantity: 4,000 tickets in total (1,450 at $20 and 2,550 sold as 3 for $50), in one numbered series. Tickets are interchangeable between the two price options. The split between the two price options may change; the total number of tickets and the odds will not.
3.3 Sales period: November 1, 2026 to December 23, 2026 at 7:00 pm. No tickets are sold or entered after that time.
3.4 Where and how: from Club volunteers at in-person sales locations, and through online ordering at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca, with the calendar ticket mailed, delivered or emailed as a scan, at the Club's discretion. Orders placed before December 15 are generally mailed or delivered locally; orders from December 15 on are generally emailed as a scan, or delivered locally where possible. For online orders, the Club records the ticket numbers sent to each buyer and can confirm them if a calendar is lost in the mail. An emailed scan serves as the buyer's calendar and proof of entry. Payment by cash, debit/credit card or Interac e-Transfer. Payment must be received in full before a ticket is entered; no credit is extended.
3.5 Each ticket has a calendar portion (kept by the buyer) and a numbered stub (kept by the Club for the draw). Both show the same ticket number and licence number. Buyers do not need to put their name on the stub. Your calendar is your proof of entry; keep it safe. The Club cannot replace a calendar that the buyer loses.
3.6 Lost or stolen tickets: if tickets in the Club's possession are lost or stolen, the Club will contact affected buyers where possible and offer a replacement ticket or a refund. The lost ticket numbers are voided. Otherwise, all sales are final.
3.7 The Club does not use an electronic raffle system. Every ticket sold, in person or online, is entered by its paper stub.
4. Prizes
4.1 There are 120 prize packages valued over $26,000 (licensed total $26,481), awarded as 10 packages per day over 12 days: December 25–31, 2026 and January 1–5, 2027.
4.2 The full prize list, with each package's prize date and fair market value, is posted at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca and available from sellers.
4.3 Prizes are awarded as described and cannot be exchanged for cash, unless a cash prize is listed. Any change to a prize requires IGCO approval, and a substitute will be of equal or greater value.
4.4 Winners pay no fee to claim a prize. Gift cards and certificates are subject to the issuing business's terms.
5. The draw
5.1 When and where: all 120 winning tickets are drawn on December 24, 2026 at 10:00 am at Cherish at Central Park, 917 Avrill Road, Langford BC. The draw is open to the public at no cost. You do not need to be present to win.
5.2 Winning tickets go back in the draw. The Club will return winning tickets to the draw container to allow a single entry to win more than one prize. After each winning ticket is recorded, it is returned and the container is mixed thoroughly before the next ticket is drawn. Every ticket has a chance at every prize, whichever day it falls on.
5.3 Draw order: prizes are drawn in calendar order, starting with Package 1 for December 25 and ending with the last package for January 5, as numbered on the prize list. The order is announced before the draw begins.
5.4 How tickets are drawn: stubs are drawn by hand, one at a time, from a sealed container. The person drawing is 19 or older, holds no ticket in the draw and has bare arms. Two witnesses who are not drawing observe, and each winning stub is shown to those present. Exactly 120 winning tickets are drawn.
5.5 Odds: each prize's odds are 1 in the number of tickets sold (no worse than 1 in 4,000). If all 4,000 tickets are sold, one ticket has about a 1 in 34 chance of winning at least one prize.
5.6 If the draw can't happen as scheduled: the Club will hold it as soon as possible at a time and place approved by IGCO, and will post the new date at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca and notify registered ticket holders by email. If a draw cannot be held at all, buyers will be refunded the full ticket price on request to calendar@rotarywestshore.com.
6. Winners and claiming prizes
6.1 Announcements: each day's 10 winning ticket numbers are posted on that prize date, December 25, 2026 to January 5, 2027, at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca. Some winners may also be shared on the Club's social media.
6.2 Register your ticket: everyone is encouraged to register their ticket number at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca, including people who receive a ticket as a gift. Registered ticket holders will be emailed if their number wins. Registration is for unverified notification and information only; it does not replace the ticket, which must be kept to confirm any win. The Club does not collect names on ticket stubs, so ticket holders are responsible for checking the winning numbers and claiming their prizes. See rule 6.4 to claim.
6.3 Published results: the winning ticket numbers, prizes, draw date, the Club's name and licence #177611 are posted at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca and available on request. Winners' names are added once prizes are claimed. By claiming a prize, winners consent to the release of their name.
6.4 Claiming: submit the claim form at rotaryseasonsofgiving.ca with your name, the winning ticket number, a clear photo or scan of the calendar ticket showing that number, and a mailing address and phone number. The Club will confirm the claim by email. Keep the original calendar until your prize is received; it may be requested at pickup. Winners of prizes valued over $100 sign a prize receipt, in person or by returning it by email.
6.5 Receiving your prize: gift cards and certificates are mailed (or, for digital cards, emailed) to the winner within BC at no cost. Tickets must be purchased in BC, but a winner who lives outside BC (for example, someone who received a ticket as a gift) can still claim. The Club will arrange how the prize is received, and may ask for proof that the ticket was purchased in BC. Prizes that are not mailed are marked on the prize list and are collected in one of these ways:
- By appointment in Colwood with the raffle organizer. The address is provided when your claim is confirmed.
- On the prize pickup day: Friday, January 22, 2027, 12:00–2:00 pm, at Cherish at Central Park, 917 Avrill Road, Langford.
- At a specific retail location, where the prize list says so.
- By delivery arranged with the raffle organizer, within Langford, Colwood, Metchosin, View Royal and the Highlands only.
The Club does not otherwise deliver prizes. There is no fee to claim any prize.
6.6 Unclaimed prizes: all prizes must be claimed by March 24, 2027, which is 90 days after the draw. Any prize not claimed by then is unclaimed. The prize, or its fair market value in cash, will be used for another licensed draw by the Club within 12 months after the licence ends (March 24, 2027). If there is none, it will be donated within that 12 months to a BC charity registered with the CRA, other than the Club.
